| I knew "Rounders" had something to do with gambling, which stars Matt Damon, but no more. Therefore, when I saw on DVD pleasantly surprised me how to make a Rounders Drama that is. I'm not a player, so maybe it's part of why I found so fascinating. Basic history - Damon the 2nd year is a law student in New York City, and a good poker player who has aspirations to enter and win the one million dollar prize in the World Series of Poker in Lasvegas. However, Ed Norton plays his good friend just released from prison. Norton is also the nature of a poker player, but also incorporates the deception, and that only helps you make money faster. This approach is in some pretty hot water, and also deep in debt! Damon has the character of a played by Gretchen Mol OS. Their distaste for the game puts a great strain on their relationship. He stay or move? And finally, John Malkovich does a wonderful job as the Russian player nicknamed "KGB." John Turturro is perfectly as a friend of Damon and the "street" adviser. Simply, I found myself trapped in this story, the forecast for the next poker game, wondering if they would get all Whacked, or survive. Also, Matt Damon has a relaxed style, with that big smile of his, so that all his films easy to see. I rate this one 8 of 10 for the game well done drama represented here. |
| This is a must-see simply by an interest in poker. Brought new perspectives to the game, but the plot of the Rounders movie was not entirely fascinating. Matt Damon was a great performance as a former high-rolling young player who lost his fortune and had a night to work their way from the bottom so it can be done through law school. The problem comes when one goes goodnik friend from jail and must pay an enormous debt. Damon is ripped from his life free poker, and is used by his friend for all that is worthwhile. The DVD movie Rounders has a bit of a fairy tale ending, and much of the Rounders Drama movie has twists and turns that can not be predicted more easily if the viewer has a map. However, spoke about the concept of regrets, and is similar to a loss in poker. Never remember we played many hands to build our fortunes. Just remember that a tough loss. However it is important to put aside the past and focus on the present. To change what can be changed in the here and now. Furthermore, warns of the dangers of being too unselfish. Putting faith and loyalty and trust in another, and not look for yourself. Screw it. It was not that beautiful of a Rounders Drama or well constructed. But it was interesting for me to see the underworld of poker, and two types trying to collect a lot of money playing poker. He also made a good effort in the implementation of some messages in there.
