Robert DeNiro and Jessica Lange are the most impossible couple. He's a failed lawyer. She's a common waitress. Together they get in a downward spiral, as they can't seem to deal with there problems. The lawyer just failed winning a case in court against a famous boxing organiser and he wants revenge by catching the organizer on his own territory: boxing. Although he knows nothing about boxing, with his fine talk he finds the help of a couple of people like the brother of his new enemy. But the relationship with his waitress doesn't make things double as hard.

If so, and you like, then perhaps this is the DVD movie Night and the City for you. The cast of this movie: Night and the City filled with a lot of good, solid character actors, but apparently forgot a coherent plot and a story to go with all these screen gems. This Night and the City Crime film will serve more than De Niro can make a vehicle, no matter how rusty and barely functioning, watchable. The way it is always and characters to attract the attention of this image is different. The Night and the City Crime film begins in a lot of different directions, then the old bait and switch, but not really going anywhere. The end is probably one of the worst of all time, I think that this was only targeted at any whim struck him at the time and at the end of two hours, the producers only bored and stopped the show. Unfulfilling and ultimately, unless it is a big fan De Niro, a complete waste of 2 hours. If you do sit through, please accept my best wishes for you to enjoy without shouting, "Where is the reward?" most of the time it takes to display.

There is a good night and acting in the city, but the DivX film Night and the City is generally mild. I chose this DivX Movie Night and the City at the video store last week, only for Robert De Niro is in it. I have to admit, although I see a lot of movies, I do not think I had heard of this DVD film Night and the City until I picked up that night, but had probably skimmed across the cover of the box while browsing in the video store . I found this Night and the City film very hard to see, mainly because the character of Harry Fabian De Niro is not very nice and I tried very hard to respect or like this character, but I just felt sorry for the type and I found this depressing. However, De Niro and some of the actors are quite good from a perspective of action in some scenes. This DVD film Night and the City gave me a 6, 10. I only recommend this DivX film Night and the City for De Niro fans.

The only reason I saw this DivX Movie Night and the City was filming on location, Boxers at West 4th Street in New York. (Ironically, the bar has nothing to do with "Boxer", as in pugilists). His boxers do not remember me, its predecessor in this corner, Boxers decoration is the same as that graced DAYS JIMMY regretted about this corner from 1970 to 1989 or 1990. When Jimmy was forced out by escalating rents, Boxers moved in, keeping the ceiling decorated with bricks of the same. Soon, this DivX Movie Night and the City may be the only permanent record of a great neighborhood bar known as NY JIMMY DAYS. There is an independent Night and the City Crime film Margot Kidder from the 1970s that was filmed here, when Jimmy Day was called Willie and Phil.

SPOILER Many people have said that this is a bad movie. I have to disagree with them. I think this is a fairly entertaining drama, and has a good ending. I especially liked the main character, Harry Fabian. If you liked the King of Comedy, then you know what I mean. I loved the King of Comedy, and I found some similarities between the main character of Rupert Pupkin and Harry Fabian. Theres a little funny that tragicomic appeal to both, are both losers without hope, and unlikable. The irony is that the very naive Rupert, has his own comedy show in the final of the King of Comedy, but Harry Fabian, a tightening of the two shots and lost all his money. This Night and the City Crime movie does not suffer from many flaws, such as warm characterizations, silly plot and mediocre direction, but the main character keeps the film: Night and the City from being total garbage.

NIGHT AND THE CITY (1992) *** Robert De Niro, Jessica Lange, Alan King, Cliff Gorman, Jack Warden, Barry Primus. Slice-of-low-life portrait remake 1940 Richard Widmark film: Night and the City casts De Niro as an ambulance chasing lawyer Harry Fabian trying to score big time as a boxing promoter with the help of his lady love (Lange unglamourous uncharacteristically in a paper) and the former brother-fighter (Warden), their main nemesis (the King in a humdinger of malevolence cold as corrupt boxing mogul). Feisty and surprisingly funny script courtesy of Richard Price (a bit depending on a doctor) has its moments of ugliness and sudden downshift in tragedy. De Niro, sometimes exaggerated, is the vital force in this otherwise entertaining melodrama.

OK, so we all agree that Robert DeNiro and Jessica Lange are among the biggest stars of his generation. Well, even that may play roles slightly confusing. "Night and the City" is one example. DeNiro plays a lawyer who tries to enter the boxing ... but which could lead to this? This is one of those movies whose plot could become a blur after watching. I actually thought that the Night and the City Crime most interesting is the contrast between Jessica Lange and Jack Warden, and maybe I'm the only one who even saw that. I mean, which looks like an old acerbic, and still has an aura of "King Kong" role. But otherwise, I did not see much more. I guess the Night and the City Crime is worth seeing, if only once. Also with Cliff Gorman, Alan King and Eli Wallach.

I liked this Night and the City Crime a little, but if you're not a fan De Niro, the Night and the City Crime movie would be completely lost on you. Just read the plot outline to see what I mean. Incompetent counsel is trying to become a boxing promoter. If you're not a fan De Niro, but still find it interesting that you probably have time to catch this DVD movie Night and the City while you are still deciding on the method of suicide. On the other hand, if you are a fan De Niro, the idea of ol 'Bobby playing a bullpoop-slinging, sheisty lawyer and marking compared to almost everyone speaks for itself. He has a good number of interesting moments that make the film, even if the plot is not.
