i'm not the only one who thinks Wickedpedia should be stopped

click here: Conservative launches crusade against Wikipedia

"[Wikipedia is an] unreliable website run by political and social activists promoting their own agenda."

truer words were never spoken.

and i'll add that its "system for flagging content as inaccurate" is complete bullshit, as i've tried to correct trivial details in my own article many times (i'm talking straight up FACTS about my life -- not the "controversial" stuff), and yes -- even GRAMMAR and SPELLING mistakes -- and the revisions are ALWAYS reverted back to inaccuracy by whatever ulterior-motivated obsessive control freak is hawking over my article that month.

while we're on the subject, kids, don't believe everything you read in general. of even the few things that have been written about me, a good chunk of it misquotes or paraphrases the words that i've said, or completely takes them out of context. i'll go so far as to say i've seen printed articles about myself with quotes completely fabricated out of thin air...often by some editor who never interviewed me or even MET me in the first place.

most of it is unnoticeable or unimportant to the average reader. but to see people who don't know you at all portray you or your life or what you do to the public in a way you feel is inaccurate or miscommunicated is a truly strange sensation.

that's why i give it to you straight from the source when i can -- which isn't as easy as it sounds either. but that's a whole other blog entry.
