| While it undeniably contains many similarities with SAW II and Reservoir Dogs, boasts an unknown (if made) the idea that lacks the necessary anchor in reality to make it credible. Five men, all battered to some extent, I wake up in an abandoned mine (or refineries), with no memory of who they are or how they got there. The story, discovered that two of them are kidnapped, which means that the other three are bad. Even worse, the bad guys' accomplices are returning the collection of the ransom money to put a hole in the head of the hostage. It is an intriguing premise, and writer Matthew Waynee touches all the bases, while the management is not to exploit the opportunities inherent suspense of the plot. Despite its short duration (85 minutes), time does not pass that quickly, although the DVD movie Unknown is never boring. Everyone is understandably stressed and cries a lot and all are generally unpleasant to each other, so do not develop any attachment to its characters. With this in mind, and the fact that there are some obvious plot holes (these guys do not have portfolios?) The DVD movie Unknown falls short of its potential for some distance. The cast is surprisingly good for what seems a low-budget effort, and they all work well, and history will keep you watching until the end to see who's who, but, ultimately, Waynee only adds a touch too many unnecessary, leaving the suspicion that he wants to show how smart as he wants to tell us a story. |
| After five men in a warehouse with no memories of chemicals. A man was handcuffed and bleeding from a shot in the chest and the other one, is bound to a chair and another had a broken nose and the other two are located on the floor. Unravel that two of them have been kidnapped and the other three are bad, that the strawberry is who? Meanwhile, police are trying to trace the criminals who catch the rescue and find where you are hiding. "Unknown" is a surprisingly good thriller, with a dramatic and suspenseful story that uses elements of "Cube", "Memento," black Unknown movie genre and many other films ( "Saw," "Reservoir Dogs", among others). The explanation for the lack of memory of the men is very reasonable, the performance is excellent and the finish is completely unexpected. The character played by Jim Caviezel is very interesting and complex. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): "We Desconhecidos" ( "The Unknown") |
| I thought it was a great unknown. I had to keep pace with the twists and turns ... certainly forced me to pay attention (which is a good thing!), as sometimes I get to zone out. I was impressed with the cast, given the independent nature of the DivX film Unknown and that is not playing in many theaters. I love Jim Caviezel .. he's a baby! I also like Greg Kinnear and was surprised to see him play a not-so-nice new, but then ... What to expect in the circumstances. Joe P was fun in their own way and Barry Pepper is an unknown to me until this movie. One of my new favorite TV shows is Six Degrees M. Bridget was very well star in this Unknown Mystery film and a total surprise to me at the end. I never predicted the end of all and that made the Unknown Mystery movie much better. It is not expected a lot from what happened in the end ... do not want to give them away, however. Of course, I hope you come to more theaters, but if you purchase via pay-per-view or rent the DVD. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it kept me on my toes. |
| This Unknown film is participating in the first twenty minutes, with a cast including famous celebrities (Greg Kinnear, Barry Pepper, James Caviesel) and appearances by some indie stars (Peter Stormare, Joe Pantilona, Jeremy Sisto, and Mark Boone Junior). The performance is quite good and the camera work is fine as is the story with enough twists and turns that most likely to entertain the viewers run time. Not a bad movie, but not great either, with its history there is no moral to be learned and that is fine but I gave the director of the film's style as it is not a big theater, the camera was not very appealing almost devoid of the scenes and out of the store were wrong. If only the movie: Unknown took place in all the stores and if the manager does not try to do what is right. I give this a B-overall, it's worth seeing, but not make a great effort. Also, do not listen to the ads, saying that this story has the same style of Memento, because no. Rating: I saw the DVD film Unknown when it was rated, the DVD film Unknown contains many words F but not extreme, and violence in this DVD movie Unknown is lowered, there are some, but not too bad. | Maybe the critics who wrote (so) "... written by the smartest child in the DivX Movie Unknown school ..." was right - you really need to pay attention to understand the game, the rules and the players. And just when you think you have figured out, yikes, there are more laps. Solid performances by all players, each in its credible memory loss-ness. Several characters transformed pleasant that cross bows, mesh, repel and attract. Smart tracks fell unexpectedly. Moreover, released to members of the IFC cable (at least in New York City, New Jersey and the area Conn.) and is also available now with video on demand services. This makes the Unknown film somewhat enjoyable for many, many more viewers, because the number of theaters in the U.S. playing on a dozen numbers. |
| I usually am disappointed in the psychological thriller - often turning to the end is not the height of fashion. It was a wonderful surprise that I failed in the end. Although the movie: Unknown is slow at times, there are many twists and turns so you do not have to wait until the end for all the excitement. Unknown is a great Unknown Mystery that keeps the viewer trying to stay one step ahead through the collective confusion. Caviezel Peppers and gave strong performances and participation. Kinnear skillfully draws both sympathy and love. Stormare is a great character actor and perfectly cast for the role. I agree with other viewers lighting was dim and depressing, but I would give a good guess that this was intentional. Certainly, the Unknown movie would not "sense" the same otherwise. |
