Cableman Roy Neary is one of several people who experience a close encounter of the first kind, witnessing UFOs flying through the night sky. This film, as well as Star Wars is an icon of science fiction movies, it is great in any kind of way. The story is very personal and universal at the same time: about a man's life is suddenly interrupted by an encounter with a UFO, which leads to a journey of discovery that almost makes you go crazy. Meanwhile, the government tries to hide the truth about these UFO sightings. The highlight of this DVD movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind is really spectacular and eye-catching. The performance is quite good too, Richard Dreyfuss takes on his journey to find out what's happening with him and the rest of the cast also give a great performance. The visual effects are very impressive (even for a film: Close Encounters of the Third Kind 77), especially the mother ship used in the sequence, and the abduction of Barry, one of the sequences that I'm really scared when I was a child. Encounters is for this and more for one of the brightest ever made alien movie. If you like this movie, enjoy DVD and use your home theater system, because the soundtrack has been digitally enhanced, and is so huge that I can assure you that several scenes from the windows of your house is going to shake a lot. 10/10

The DivX Movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind got our juices flowing while waiting for the next episode. What a disappointment! Does anyone else fell this way? What happened to all the characters in the film? Steven Spielberg was right on the money back in 1977. Today remains one of the best managers in the company. A sequel is needed badly. Can you imagine the sequel today with all the great technology in the next DVD film Close Encounters of the Third Kind and the story continues. Or is it too late? It is to arrive in 30 years since the last movie. How many other fans are out there waiting for the next sequel?
