Follows a group of high school students growing up in southern California, based on the real-life adventures chronicled by Cameron Crowe. Stacy Hamilton and Mark Ratner are looking for a love interest, and are helped along by their older classmates, Linda Barrett and Mike Damone, respectively. The center of the film is held by Jeff Spicoli, a perpetually stoned surfer dude who faces off with the resolute Mr. Hand, who is convinced that everyone is on dope.

I saw this DVD movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High when he first arrived in 1982. I was in my early twenties at the time to "understand" things in this DivX Movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High (essentially stereotypes). I did not like the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Drama film and then the only reason I would suggest that anyone I see now is que'80 's nostalgia. I always thought it was an empty Fast Times at Ridgemont High film aims to be funny, is not so, and trying to have some kind of message. It is nothing but a cheap, Trashy, BAD bad taste (as opposed to good bad taste, I like) child exploitation DivX film Fast Times at Ridgemont High disguised as something special. Since the reputation of one might think this is a work of brilliance. The characters were shallow and boring and I could never see how people love to ridicule both were stoned surfer character. Now ... If this Fast Times at Ridgemont High film had not taken seriously or, perhaps, was written as a satire or put in high school, movies or even adolescents and young pop culture in general, towards 1982, as the brilliant "Lord Love a Duck" made in 1966, most likely would have been much better, or even something really big. In my opinion, if you want to see something aimed at teens is much higher, see "Heathers" and finally "Rock'n'Roll High School" or even "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

Fast Times in Ridgemont High (1982) **** Sean Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Phoebe Cates, Ray Walston, Robert Rowanus, Brian Becker, Eric Stoltz, Anthony Edwards, Forest Whitaker, Vincent Schiavelli, Nicolas Cage. Hilarious and accurate description of life in 1980, the high school ranks among the best comedies of the distress, anomie, and above all - the uncertainty - including "American Graffiti" and "Dazed and Confused." Bullets with a fine ensemble and in particular from Leigh stars (that's never been so innocent) and Penn as stoned surfer Jeff Spicoli ( "People on ludes should not drive!" "Hey, Bud, huh, we will party! ") is a comic gem of a performance. Great soundtrack and stable direction by Amy Heckerling and too-dash to meet the future filmmaker Cameron Crowe ( "Say Anything ..."). Little better: Mr. convinced that they are all part of the drugs. Watch strong Crowe's wife, singer Nancy Wilson of rock as the hot babe Reinhold tries to impress its use in traffic fast food pirate costume.
