| My family and I went to see how the Grinch Stole Christmas in the allocation and the selection team on November 6. The DVD movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas was spectacular! Jim Carrey was the Grinch! Christine Baransky was amazing as Betty Lou Who. Taylor Momsen was super in his role as Cindy Lou Who. Jeffrey Tambor as Augusto terriffic Who May, the Mayor of Whoville. Ben Bookbinder Young was the BIG Who May Augusto. This DVD movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas is intended to be a Christmas classic! I look forward to seeing my grandchildren in the years ahead. |
| The live action Grinch is so exaggerated that makes the eruption buried Pompeii Vasuvius that looks like a tea candle. Is so unnecessary slapstick "humor" of the 3 Stooges seems the height of sophisticated humor. Is like getting hit in the face with a sledge hammer 100 pounds. The charming story that used to have disappeared, except for a few minutes near the end. The facts are that stupid ingenuity nits that are more interested in how much you can spend on gifts and what they're getting in return that does not really does not matter if the Grinch who stole Christmas. The only decent sense of Who's the girl, Cindy Lou. The young actress is the wonderful game. The only other character is worthy Max, the dog, and steals the show. Jim Carry is NOT the Grinch. He is simply Jim Carry in a green leather suit with a lot of makeup. He does not know when to retire and let the story work. He always goes way over the line. But this is also the fault of director Ron Howard. That could and should have done Carry off. To give credit where due, makeup, scenery and special effects are excellent. Unfortunately, today the children, raised on the violent TV cartoons on Saturday morning, is that this is the real Grinch and the classic story will take second place in this evil mess. It will, undoubtedly, make money and be shown again and again on television in the coming years, but never replace the wonderful and original cartoon book. |
| The hype was that this turkey of a DVD movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas was a surprise. Unfortunately, I bought into the hype and spent eight dollars to see The Grinch. This is one of the few times I have heard a bird critics. This How the Grinch Stole Christmas Fantasy movie is horrible. I do not remember the cartoons Whoville is a dark and depressing, without joy. The actors with their horrible loked makeup. The first hour is a painful experience to sit through. The first hour of the show is Jim Carey and I do not pay to walk around to see Jim Carey in the Grinch costume speaking on a Sean Connery accent. I paid to see The Grinch and was as usual. Where was the joy? Where was the colorful Whoville? Why Whoville seem a nightmare? Your guess is as good as mine. |
