After a plane crash in the ocean, a group of military students reach an island. Ralph organizes the boys, assigning responsibilities for each one. When the rebel Jack Merridew neglects the fire camp and they lose the chance to be seen by a helicopter, the group split under the leadership of Jack. While Ralph rationalizes the procedures, Jack returns to the primitivism, using the fear for the unknown (in a metaphor to the religion) to control the other boys, and hunting and chasing pigs, stealing the possession of Ralph's group and even killing people.

When I saw this remake does not seem as bad as some said it was. Remakes its basically like many of the classic films, they rarely live up to the original. Few new thats added. Most of the virtues of this film: Lord of the Flies are just repetitions of the virtues of the first movie. New in this movie, on the positive side is the use of bright colors, as opposed to the original Lord of the Flies Drama film hard, grainy black and white. Color photography captures the beautiful lush tropical setting. On the negative side are the dreams of fools the children are rescued. Also with the ice ax and survive as a rabid dog walking seems to have been launched to provide a cheap shocks or something.

I can not believe this DVD movie Lord of the Flies has received bad reviews, and has only a 5.9 rating. And the fact that I am only writing about this Lord of the Flies Drama film makes it truly underestimated. When I first saw this Lord of the Flies Drama movie when I was nine years, I was blown away by it. was the last child of the Lord of the Flies Drama film for me. The act is very realistic. It was a group of children boarding get shipwrecked on an island without parental supervision. It really showed us how savagely animalistic and when we can be absolutely no rules or restrictions. And we want to assume insticts survival. The final was very emotional and joins all, without any words that are spoken.

Some people may not like this Lord of the Flies Drama film because of the curse, or the fact that history has been twisted around. However, it was more entertaining than a 1963. I am now in English in high school, and we read the book, and then saw two movies. I think some people do not realize the complexity of this story is. Sorry people, the 1963 low-budget, English black and white version is much better. Hollywood can never leave a good story in itself. Rent the 1963 version or better yet read the book.

What a bad adaptation to such a good book. It was messy and not sad, just stupid. He was right, so what difference a 1 / 10 to 4 / 10. The boys played Ralph, Piggy and Jack are good little players.
